Why Reun Counsel
What thoughtful legal counsel looks like in practice
We listen before we advise
Every matter begins with an unhurried conversation. We form a view of your situation before we speak about options — not before.
Qualified Thai family law practitioners
Our counsel holds formal qualifications in Thai law and maintains an active practice in the Bangkok Family Court system.
Respectful of your autonomy
We set out the landscape clearly so you can make decisions in your own time. We advise; we do not pressure.
English and Thai fluency
All consultations and documents can be conducted and prepared in both English and Thai, reducing the friction that language can introduce at difficult moments.

Everything shared with us remains within the walls of this office. Our practice depends on the trust placed in us, and we take that seriously.

Our offices are located in Soi Ari, Phaya Thai — a quiet part of the city, accessible by BTS, with private parking available.

Common Questions
Questions we often hear
What happens during a Family Consultation Session?
We begin by hearing your account of the situation — there is no fixed agenda. After listening, counsel will outline the relevant areas of Thai family law that bear on your circumstances and discuss the range of steps that may be open to you. The session typically runs ninety minutes. You leave with a clearer picture; no commitment is expected or implied.
Do I need to bring documents to the first meeting?
Not at all. Many clients come to the consultation session with nothing more than their memory of events. If you do have documents — correspondence, photographs, official records — you are welcome to bring them, but their absence will not limit what we can discuss in a first meeting.
How long does a domestic agreement drafting engagement typically take?
The drafting process usually takes two to four weeks from the initial briefing session to a final agreed document. The pace is set by the parties — if more time for reflection is needed at any stage, we work around that. We do not apply pressure to conclude quickly.
What does Family Court representation involve day to day?
You will have a designated counsel who handles all correspondence, drafts the necessary submissions, attends hearings with you, and keeps you informed at each stage. We contact you before any significant development and after each hearing. You will not find yourself wondering what is happening in your case.
Is everything I share with you confidential?
Yes. All information shared with Reun Counsel is held in strict confidence and within the obligations of legal professional privilege. We do not discuss client matters with third parties without your written instruction to do so.
Do you work with international clients or expatriates?
Yes. A number of our clients are non-Thai nationals resident in Bangkok or with family matters connected to Thailand. We conduct all communications and prepare documentation in both English and Thai as required, and we are familiar with the considerations that arise in cross-national family situations.
