What We Offer

What makes a difference when the matter is a family one.

Choosing legal counsel for a family matter is not the same as choosing a solicitor for a commercial transaction. We believe the difference matters — and shapes how we work.

Why Reun Counsel

Six things that set this practice apart

Listening before advising

We do not form a view of your situation until we have heard it fully. No pre-packaged solutions.

Qualified Thai family law practitioners

All counsel hold formal Thai legal qualifications and maintain active Lawyers Council registration.

Named counsel continuity

You work with the same person throughout. Your matter is not rotated between junior staff.

English and Thai throughout

All consultations and documents available in both languages, without additional translation fees.

Transparent pricing

Each service has a stated fee, known at the outset. No additions for routine correspondence during an engagement.

Strict confidentiality

Everything shared with us stays within the practice. Professional privilege is a foundation of how we work, not an afterthought.

Active Bangkok Family Court practice

There is a difference between knowing how the Bangkok Family Court operates in statute and knowing how it operates in practice. Our counsel attend hearings regularly, are familiar with how particular matters are typically approached, and can give you a realistic picture of what proceedings are likely to involve.

That practical familiarity shapes both our advice and our drafting — we write submissions that we believe will be well-received, not ones that simply tick formal boxes.

  • Active registration with the Lawyers Council of Thailand
  • Current knowledge of Family Court scheduling and procedure
  • Experience in contested and uncontested matters
  • Familiarity with cross-national family law considerations
  • Same counsel from first meeting to conclusion
  • Updates after every significant development
  • Correspondence answered within one working day
  • Appointments scheduled to suit client availability

Service shaped around the client

Family law matters take time. The pace of a court calendar does not follow the pace of people's lives. We try to make the experience of working with us as manageable as possible — keeping you informed, responding promptly, and never leaving you wondering what is happening in your own matter.

Our office is open Monday through Saturday. For ongoing court engagements, your counsel's contact details are available to you directly.

Fees stated clearly, from the start

Each of our three services has a published fee: ฿1,800 for the initial consultation session, ฿3,400 for domestic agreement drafting, and ฿10,600 for long-form Family Court representation. These are set prices, not estimates.

There are no fees for routine correspondence within an ongoing engagement. If circumstances change in a way that might affect fees, we discuss that with you before proceeding.

  • Fixed, published prices for each service
  • No charge for routine correspondence within engagements
  • No requirement to retain us beyond the initial consultation
  • English and Thai drafting included in the stated fee

What Distinguishes Us

Aspects of our practice you may not find elsewhere

The consultation fee includes the consultation

The ฿1,800 consultation session is not a commitment to proceed further. After it, you may decide to engage us — or not — entirely at your own discretion. We find that clients who feel no obligation to proceed tend to ask better questions and leave with a clearer picture.

We work with both parties when appropriate

Where both parties in a domestic matter wish to engage counsel jointly — for example, to draft an agreed domestic arrangement — we can structure our engagement accordingly, subject to an absence of conflict. This can reduce both cost and friction.

Cross-national family matter experience

A meaningful portion of our client work involves families where one or more parties is a non-Thai national, where assets span jurisdictions, or where children have connections to more than one country. We are familiar with those dimensions and do not treat them as unusual complications.

Plain language, always

Legal documents prepared by us are drafted with comprehension in mind. We provide plain-language summaries of any formal document we prepare, so you understand what you are signing or filing — not simply that it has been correctly prepared.
